This genmaicha is made from first flush fukamushi sencha and brown rice, both grown by same organic farmer. This variety softens the bitterness of green tea with its unique crispy flavor. Therefore, genmaicha is one of the most beloved teas in North America.
 
The sweetness and starch from the popped brown rice has a filling quality, and helps avoid overeating, making genmaicha good for meals and snacks.
 
Of course, like all other teas this is a zero-calorie drink!
Fukamushi genmaicha contains less caffeine compared to regular sencha.
