Matcha

Because it is difficult to obtain genuine matcha out side of Japan, we are especially proud to offer this genuine matcha grown by a matcha specialist farmer who has developed a variety suited to a very cold mountain climate, offering a quality product grown with organic methods.

MORE ABOUT MATCHA
+
-

We have two grades of matcha. Both of them are ceremonial grade (not culinary grade!).

One is Ceremonial matcha, which has richness, maturity and slight natural sweetness in aftertaste. Another is fine matcha, which has freshness, bold character and clear bitterness.

They contain a lot of natural "umami", and good for serving in the traditional way.

We also recommend "Fine matcha" for latte and sweetened matcha.

Matcha is known as Japanese super food containing rich green tea catechin, β-carotene, vitamin E, vitamin K, vitamin B1, B2, B6, vitaminC, folic acid, niacin, and a lot of minerals. Therefore, it has been popular drink for immune enhancer and anti-aging not only in Japan but all over the world.

Matcha is called as Japanese espresso, having more caffeine compared to regular sencha. It's good for starting your day or as an energy booster in a dull afternoon.
